Ryan Church flubbing that fly ball may have blown what chance he had to come north with the club.

Was that Church? Damn. My connection to the broadcast is tenuous. It's seems to be fine during the commercials.

I'm on the radio, but I'm pretty sure I heard "off Ryan's glove" and then later confirming "E-8."

So, I'm not 100% sure. But it sure sounds like Church.

And Keith Osik just tied it up with a home run. Why are we paying Gary Bennett a million bucks to be a backup catcher again?

The Orioles' trash is our treasure!

So. The question is, how fast is the NL East?

Seems a silly question, I guess. But I'm wondering, if we put Sledge/Wilkerson/Guillen in the outfield, are we going to turn a lot of doubles into triples with the shorter range in CF?

Alternately, I can see Sledge playing four games a week as a fourth outfielder, spotting for Wilkerson, Guillen, Chavez and Johnson.

Granted, that makes Wil Cordero superfluous, but you can't have everything.

What happened? Infield fly rule but Robinson is arguing it? Do tell.

I've been hesitant to endorse B-Wilk in center for that very reason (also because I'm not enthused about Sledge playing every day). There's at least one stat that says Endy's a defensive wizard, but I don't know. If we were a better team, we'd have better options.

Apparantly it was Inning-Endy who flubbed the fly ball in center. So that's good news.

I guess it's spring training for the announcers, too. They're still learning which player is which.
